Another reason our weekend at the beach was so exciting was because...

We found out that Curran is going to have a COUSIN!!!!

My sister and Craig are due in March!! In the previous blog post, I posted those pictures from us playing in Seaside. Well, as soon as we all got back to the house, we sat down in the living room to cool off before getting ready to go to dinner. Craig started walking away with Curran and I asked where they were going, and he said to get her beach ball. Of course, I thought nothing of it. A few minutes later they walked back in, and C was holding the beach ball in front of her but I could see that she had a tshirt on. Craig set her down and she started walking towards us and I was able to read what it said. I started screaming, "What? WHAT?!?!? ARE YOU EXPECTING?!??" And I wish you all could have seen the look on Christopher's face...it was HILARIOUS! I think she was just so nervous, but she looked like a deer in headlights and wouldn't say anything. I think I said, "well are you?" because she still hadn't answered me, and finally in a shaky voice she said yes. So of course we all started crying {even John :) } and were so excited! But I had a million questions because I felt so blindsided! It was weird for me to find out that she had been keeping something so huge from me for almost a month! I know you all are thinking that there is nothing weird about that, but as her twin, I know her better than anybody, and we talk like 10 times a day and I see her probably every other day, so I was just so surprised she was able to keep it a secret without me catching on. Of course when I was newly pregnant, she guessed it right away, so my pride was also a little hurt I wasn't able to figure her out sooner. :)

I cannot even begin to explain how excited I am about becoming an aunt! I was seriously on cloud 9 for the rest of the weekend {and still am}! I didn't know I could love a baby so much that's not my own and not even here yet! I'm probably going to annoy Craig before this is all said and done because I keep calling it my baby. :)

I have been having MAJOR baby fever lately, so this will give me something else to focus on for a while! :) And no, we are not even thinking about having another one any time soon, but I have had a major itch anyway.

I am ready for this baby to hurry up and gestate so he or she can find out how much his/her Aunt Lou loves them!!

I have no doubt that Christopher and Craig will be the BEST parents to this little babe. They are truly the best aunt and uncle to Curran: always so loving, generous, helpful, and willing to do anything in the world for her. Craig was so excited when we were expecting C that he wanted to buy his own car seat and jogging stroller. :) So I can only imagine the love and enthusiasm with which he will embrace his own child.

Congratulations Chris and Craig, and to Baby Hey: your Uncle John, Aunt Lou, and Cousin Curran love you and absolutely cannot wait to meet you!! We will be praying for you every day!
