We headed to the beach for Memorial Day. We hadn't been since Labor Day, so I was dying to get down there! Normally we squeeze in 1 or 2 trips between those holidays, but with work and just life in general, we haven't been able to. My professional life has been a hot mess lately so I was desperate for a vacation! And I was so excited to take C back to the beach now that she is a little older.
We headed out on Thursday after work. Katharyn and her mother had both dropped off some yummy goodies for us to take with us (they're super thoughtful like that), so we tore into those before we were out of our neighborhood!
C was very happy eating an orange roll and watching Beauty and the Beast for the first time. {John and I figured it was time to wean her from her obsession with the Royal Wedding- we finally deleted it off the DVR- so we got her hooked on another princess. She is now obsessed with Belle and Beast and requests to watch the movie frequently. Although I do have to fast-forward through all the dark/scary parts. Whenever the movie gets to a scene she doesn't like, she jabs her finger at the TV and says "no no no!" She especially hates any scene with Gaston.}
I had no doubts that C would still love the beach as much as she did last year. She had such a great time and would have stayed out there all day if we let her! She has no fear of the ocean and just squealed with glee the whole time she was in it!
She didn't want to be still for one second, making most pictures difficult.
Uncle Craig is wonderful to have around, not only because we love him, of course, but also because he has endless energy and loves to play with C. She loves it too, and Mama enjoys the break! :)
Although this did make me a little nervous, so John told them to come in some.
This picture just made me laugh out loud. Poor C's hat was so big, but she was so good about keeping it on. She never complained. And then I laughed when I noticed that Craig is under water! I didn't even realize it at first. :)
