I have been trying to keep Sallie Cate awake more during the day in hopes to get her to go down easier at night, so I had her on the floor last night when Curran got home from school. She came in and laid down next to her and was being so sweet that I had to grab my camera. Excuse the bad lighting/coloring- I didn't want to waste time with the settings and miss these sweet moments so I left it on automatic.
C was talking about her "cute wittle nose."
Kissing that cute wittle nose.
Nuzzling SC's head- her fave thing to do.
And this sweet thing smiled at me while making eye contact when I was talking to her this morning. All the other times she hasn't really been looking me in the eye. It was so sweet it made me cry. :) Love those precious moments!
Checking out those tootsies.
I promise I won't post a picture every time she does this, but I think it's hilarious and sweet when she shields her eyes from the flash. :)
She didn't want me to take a picture of her by herself.
I want to record a few more funny/sweet things C has said to or about Sallie Cate:
"She's fussing! I need you to feed my baby, Mama."
"No ma'am, Sallie Cake. Not fuss! I love you!"
"He's a cute little rascal." {for some reason she calls SC a 'he' a lot :)}
"Hey there little guy."- pretty much every time she comes up to her and rubs her head
Whenever Sallie Cate is fussing, C always says "It's ok Sallie Cake. I love you!"
She was being so funny when she got home from school tonight. This week is Week of the Young Child at her school {I think it's a national thing}, so they have had something special every day this week. Today they had animals from Ed's Pet World come. For those of you that are non-locals, it's a pet store that has exotic animals. She told me they brought a crocodile, frog, parrot, spider and snake. She was going on and on about the crocodile and kept saying, "I LOVE crocodiles! Dey not scary! You like crocodiles, Mommy?" Then she told me all about how she got to pet the snake. John said on the ride home from school, she was telling him about all the animals, and I guess he kept saying that he was scared of each animal. C finally said, "You scared of a lot, Daddy." :)
Then later on she came back in my room while I was feeding SC and asked to watch a movie. I told her to go ask her daddy. So I could hear her in the kitchen saying, "I wanna watch Up, Mommy. I wanna watch Up, Mommy!" over and over. John finally said, "I'm not Mommy." So then she corrected herself and said "I wanna watch Up, Daddy." He said "I'm not Daddy." Then she giggled and said "Well who are you then? Ummm {thinking to herself}, Uncle John! I wanna watch Up, Uncle John!" :) Then she said, "You are my DADDY!" And John replied, "And you are my Curran." Then she said, "And you love my Curran."
This is random, but I want to remember. For the past few months, any time she was playing with something she would want to know "who gave me dis?" Now she will go around the room and ask "who gave me dat?" about every.single.thing. Books, pillows, sheets, bed, pictures, the fireplace screen :) - EVERYTHING. I don't know why she does it but it cracks me up. :)
