Testing out her new play mat from Nana and Pop
I could just nibble those sweet cheeks right off!
Her umbilical cord fell off on her 2 week bday, so she had a real bath for the first time last night, and she did great! Curran was so excited about getting to bathe with her {although you wouldn't know by this pic} and was perfectly fine with the no bubbles, no bath colors, and no splashing rule. :) She even helped wash her feet {because that's all she was allowed to do :) }.
fresh and clean!
There she goes shielding SC from the flash again. :)
I had my first day with the two of them by myself on Monday, and let's just say it was not fun. I made John come home for lunch so he could get C down for her nap, but she never did fall asleep. I made her stay in her room for "quiet time", but she came out about 50,000 times. FYI our house is so old that a lot of our doors don't latch shut, and hers is one of them. So I finally put the baby gate up. Not that that does much because she climbs over it or comes and stands at the gate and talks the whole time. Besides the not napping, she was just disobedient all day and I felt like all I did was correct her endlessly or send her to time out. Needless to say I was exhausted by that night. So days when it's just me and little SC seem down-right easy. :) We have gotten out for walks, errands and for lunch with John and my sister a few times. Thank goodness she does great in the car seat and usually sleeps the whole time we're out.
I did take both girls to the grocery store for the first time on Monday, and it went fine except there was no room for groceries in the cart! Thank goodness the bag boy helped us out to the car {despite the fact that he dropped a bag and busted our milk} because otherwise I don't know what we would have done.
But all in all we are adjusting pretty well. To be honest, I don't look forward to the days when I'm home alone with both girls, but I know things will settle down eventually. Right??

Oh, yes, it will get so much better. There will be days where both girls are so sweet, not just to you but to each other, and those go down as the best days ever. C will figure out that being a "big girl helper" with SC will score her lots of points, too. :)
Your girls are precious and I am loving all the sweet pictures! Thanks for letting us enjoy them, too. :)
Mary Louis...they are both so precious!!! I know it's a huge adjustment having 2, but I promise you'll get used to it and it will get much better. The lack of sleep doesn't help...that too will get better. :)
