When we got there on Friday afternoon, Christopher, Craig and Sinclair were already in town, so we met them down by the river.
My pictures got out of order, but this is where we stayed- Monmouth Plantation. Kids were not allowed but my dad sweet talked them into it when he made the reservations. :)

Sinclair's new face :)
The grounds at Monmouth are beautiful and C had fun exploring!
love all the Spanish Moss
On Saturday, Dad drove the boys around town and then met the girls downtown for lunch and shopping.
We ate lunch at Fat Mama's Tamales
Love C's face in this pic.
Cricky with her girls
Sinclair showing us her new trick- clapping her feet on demand. You have to see it in person, but it's funny. :)
This was where we stayed. Our room shared a back porch with my parents' room. We would have really been able to enjoy it if it wasn't so cold.

Darby's makes the BEST fudge!
Fuzzy but sweet pic of Big and his girls
Beautiful homes on the bluff
Saturday night we ate dinner at the Castle Restaurant at the Dunleith Plantation. To get C excited about dinner, I told her we were going to a castle like where Belle lived. Not the best idea because she kept saying we were going to eat supper with Belle. John got Dad of the Year though because he spent most of the night walking her around the grounds (in the freezing cold) going to find the "princess" (the bride at a wedding at the main house, where funnily enough they ran into one of our college friends). So she had a good time and talked about the princess the rest of the night!
On Sunday we went to church and then had lunch at the Carriage House, a place we used to eat a lot when we were little. It was fun going back after so many years.
We tried to get a cute pic of the girls with their grandparents, but this was the best we got. C kept wanting to go pet this one-eyed cat she spotted. :)
We had such a fun and laid-back weekend. Natchez is such a special place to my dad, so it was so nice to go back with our families!

what a fun weekend, ML!!
ML- I LOVED this post! The pictures you took were great! What a fun weekend! I need to ask Curran about that one eyed cat :)!
So fun! I love that y'all are all bundled up and John is in shorts.
P- it was FREEZING but John says I burn him out of the car on road trips so he had on shorts for the drive. He's a nut. :)
Looks like such a fun trip, ML! Let me just say how much I love C's tiny pink toms.
