A Royal Morning

Friday morning Christopher and Sinclair came over so we could watch the Royal Wedding together. I was not a die-hard who got up at 3 am to watch the coverage. I set my DVR to record the 6 hour coverage instead. We had a breakfast of tea coffee and crumpets blueberry muffins, and there wasn't a dry eye in the house. Ok, well Sinclair and Curran were probably not shedding tears over the sweet nuptials, but still.

I didn't expect to get so into it, but I was just fascinated from start to finish. And even Curran loved watching parts of it! In particular the soldiers {I know they have a proper name but I can't recall it}, the music, and the "pincess!" Curran would say "gin gin gin" {again} whenever a song ended, and she would demand "march!" when she wanted to watch the soldiers again. When she woke up from her nap that afternoon, she pointed at the TV {which was off} and said "pincess!" She has watched it every day since. I think I'm going to delete it from the DVR because I am getting tired of the constant demands! :)

Sinclair was not impressed.

Curran was excited to get to eat her breakfast in front of the TV!

Feeling royal with her jewels and scepter.

Enthralled

All day I could not get the wedding out of my mind. I loved everything about it! I love how Britain is still so proper and traditional. I just kept thinking about how incredible it was that Kate was just a "normal" girl who was going through, I can only imagine, the extremely surreal experience of becoming a "royal." What a fun morning in the middle of what was a very somber and devastating week.

I couldn't believe she did her own makeup for the wedding! That makes me like her even more!! :)
