Caker Boo, you are such a little firecracker! You still have your feisty little personality but are so sweet too! I love it when you pat me on the back or rub my arm while I'm holding you. You love to give hugs and kisses and that is one of your biggest stalling tactics at bedtime. After I have turned out the light, you always demand "hug! kiss!" pointing at the closed door, so we have to find Curran and Daddy to give them one more hug and kiss goodnight.
Speaking of Curran, you go back and forth between calling her Sister or "Cuh-win". Both equally precious. Another cute thing you say is "right here" when pointing where you want me to sit next to you or where you want me to put some food on your plate. It doesn't sound just like "right here" which is what makes it cute to me. You said "Love you, Mama" for the first time this month. You'll also say that to Sister as well. You are calling more and more people by name {all of your teachers, friends at school, relatives etc} and it's fun to see you remember the names of relatives with no cues or without seeing them recently {particularly Aunt Camille "Mille"}.
With our babysitter's kids "Kate" {Laura Kate} and "Widdy" {Libby} whom you love!
You LOVE your cousins Becket and Sinclair "Clair" as well as Uncle Craig and Sissy. You love on Becket a ton, giving lots of hugs and kisses and pointing out body parts. :)
You have recently gotten into your baby dolls, which is perfect timing because that is what Santa brought you. You love to feed them their bottles and tell them night night. You also love your shape sorter and any car or bus that you can push around, saying "vroom vroom!" and "beep beep!" You still love to wear dress up shoes, especially your sister's that don't exactly fit you. So Santa brought you some ruby red slippers of your own. Funny that you still only want Curran's. :) And you LOVE to read! I am so happy about that!
I was busy unpacking from the beach last night when I heard Curran reading to you. She does this all the time, and you love it!
I have no idea how much you weigh because we haven't been to the doctor since your 18 month check-up. I don't want to jinx it but I think you have stayed well far more than your sister at this age {but you were way sicker your first year of life}. You did have an ear infection recently, but since you still have your tubes, all I had to do was get them to call you in some drops. You have had a few runny noses and coughs, but nothing major, thank God. You wear 18- 24 month clothes and a size 4 diaper. I think your shoe size is around 5 or 5.5. {You wear both so I don't really know what size your feet really are right now.}
You are still a GREAT sleeper, but you fuss at bedtime now. You want to rock for long periods of time and always ask for "one more" song when I move to put you in bed. You almost always cry but it never lasts more than a minute or two. You usually go down for naps great! As soon as your finish lunch you say "paci, night night" and want to get right in bed. I got rid of your sister's paci at 22 months but I am SO not ready to do it with you. Selfishly I am just so scared that it will affect your sleep!
You are still a pretty good eater too. People always comment that you are a great eater, and you do eat a large quantity of food, but you don't have a ton of variety {at least, I don't think so}. You rarely eat a vegetable {only beans, really}, which is so unlike your sister who actually requested asparagus for supper tonight. You can put away 3 or 4 yogurts a day {and would gladly eat more but I have to cut you off somewhere} and really like peanut butter sandwiches {you just call it "butter"}.
Sallie, you are a precious gift and we love you so!!! Happy 21 months!!
