32 Weeks

The countdown continues! Eight more weeks!

Not much has changed since my last update. Just getting a little more uncomfortable as time goes on. I am trying really hard not to wish away this time, but I am just so excited to meet my little babe! I have enough people reminding me how challenging life will be with two, but I am still trying not to think about that. Now, when I get on here and complain about how tired and stressed I am after the baby comes, nobody get annoyed with me, mmmkay? :)

A patient at work yesterday told me I was "extremely pregnant" and then asked how much longer I had. When I answered with 8 weeks, his reply- "GEEZ!!" Um, thanks. :)

Curran has been SO incredibly sweet about the baby lately, and it just melts my heart. When I'm lying down with her at night, she lays her head on top of my belly and hugs it and talks to Sallie Cate, telling her that she loves her and wants to feel her kick. :) She went from not really wanting anything to do with my belly to being all about it. The other night she told me SC was wet and needed a new diaper. I assured her that I would need plenty of help with diaper changes once the baby was born. :) Last night she told me that SC wanted some milk and peanuts {what she was snacking on at that moment}. I know we will have our fair share of jealousy issues and tantrums from C, but I really foresee her being such a sweet big sister and I can't wait to see the two of them together!

She has started to want to be a "baby" lately, which worries me some. A few weeks ago she said "feed me! feed me!" and wanted me to hold her sippy cup like a bottle. She's also wanting to be rocked in my arms "like a baby" while I sing Hush Little Baby or Rockabye Baby. She is also particularly attached to her diapers these days which makes me glad I didn't push the potty training thing.

Right now I get really anxious thinking about what we're going to do with Curran once the baby is born. We don't have a guest room anymore so my mom won't have a place to sleep when she comes to help me. My in-laws offered to take C to Memphis for a few days, but I have mixed feelings about that. I know it would be super helpful and would be so nice for me to have some one on one time with the baby {plus my mom would have a place to sleep}, but C has never been away from home without us {every time we've left her someone has kept her at our house}. Plus I don't want her to feel confused about why she's leaving as soon as the baby gets here. My mom is concerned that C would be really homesick and upset if we sent her to Memphis. So I don't know what we'll do. I know it will all somehow work out, but I am such a planner so it drives me nuts to feel so up in the air. I have a feeling my mom will end up in the bed with me and John will be on the couch or bunking up with C {which he already suggested}.  :)

Awww! That is SO precious. I can't wait till Miss SC gets here!! We have something small we want to bring her before her birthday. (And your book.) Will you be home Saturday afternoon? If not, I'll just put it all in your mailbox. And you look like an adorable little pregnant lady. People probably only make comments like that b/c the rest of your body is teeny tiny! ;) If you want to fix that issue, you could eat what I did for breakfast this morning: 1 chick fil a chicken nugget, a two bite cupcake, 2/3 a slice of cheese cake and then a handful of nachos and cheese! :/ What am I thinking?! No wonder none of my pants are fitting these days! Oy!

Yes, Brooke we'll be around this weekend. If we are not here you are welcome to leave it in the mailbox or on the porch. Sweet SC does not need a THING, but you are so sweet to think of her!! And don't feel bad about your breakfast- after I had my toast this morning, I finished it off with a few (or ten) girl scout cookies! :)
