We went to the doctor yesterday and found out what BQ2 is:

In case you couldn't understand {or if my fancy camera work made you motion sick so you had to turn it off}, Curran is going to have a baby sister!!! We are thrilled and so thankful that everything with the baby looked great!

Unfortunately yesterday was not the perfect day I had envisioned. I got the stomach bug early Monday morning and was so sick. John thought we should cancel the appt {which was at 8:30} but there was no way I wanted to do that. So I toughed it out and was so sick for the 2 hrs we were there, but I'm glad I got to go. We took Curran with us to the appt and she was so cute. When she saw the baby on the ultrasound screen, she started smiling so big. They had a hard time determining the gender because of the baby's positioning, but finally she was able to get the money shot. However it was still pretty unclear so I asked her if she was 100% sure. She replied that she never gave 100%. Well that's reassuring. :) We go back in 4 weeks to get some more pictures since they didn't get all the measurements they wanted, so I will be excited to see her little face. We did not get one profile picture so I was very disappointed about that. But the most important thing is that she is healthy and the dr was really pleased with everything! The whole time we were at the dr, C wanted to hold the US pics and kept saying "that's my baby sister!" over and over. It was precious. 

I feel so grateful that Curran will get to experience the joys of having a sister. I count my sister as one of my biggest blessings, and I cannot imagine my life without her, so I'm so glad that C will get to know those same joys. And I have to admit that I told Chris last week that reading this blog made me really want this baby to be another girl. :) They just seem like the sweetest sisters and it makes me excited to see what Curran's relationship will be like with her little sister.

Oh- and we don't have a name. I was just asking C that in the video to see what she would say and her answer was "baby sister." :)
