Memorial Day Weekend

We went back to the beach for Memorial Day. This trip was much better than the one a couple of weeks earlier. Although SC did run a fever while we were down there, she was well for the most part. We had to reschedule pictures that were supposed to be done the last time we were there, and thankfully we were able to do them on this trip. However, my child who always sleeps great {SC} chose to wake up at 4am the morning of the pictures, so she was in a M-O-O-D and screamed the whole time. Holland is super talented though, so she was still able to get some precious shots of SC. {I'll post those in a separate post.}

Here are some pictures from the weekend. Some of them uploaded out of order, but I'm too lazy to fix them.
First morning at the beach!

Ready for a swim.

Looking for shells with Big. The water was gorgeous!

This is what SC thought of the beach. She does that move with her legs every time we try to put her down.

We filled up the baby pool and she loved playing in there, though!

On Sunday afternoon, C and I walked down to Seaside to get sno cones. Then we browsed in the bookstore and I let her pick out a little something. I love having that one on one time with her!

On Saturday night, my parents babysat so we could go out to eat. It wasn't the best dining experience {Christopher's crab cake was full of shells and the waiter didn't believe Craig, so he demanded a piece of shell to take to the chef. So Craig handed the waiter a shell that had just been in his teeth, and the waiter carried it back to the kitchen in his bare hands. Have you ever?!}

On the last day, we finally came up with a set up Miss SC was happy with- the little tent, snacks, and toys. She was happy as a little lark. {and I cannot, for the life of me, figure out why these appeared sideways}

Are there any little girls under those hats?? They were playing with some sand fleas that Uncle Craig found them. Curran named them all Sophie.

On Monday afternoon, we walked down to Seaside for more sno cones.

This attempt at a family pic made me laugh. Sweet Cakers.

My dad's birthday is May 30th, so we always end up celebrating the weekend of Memorial Day. My friend Katharyn, who knows that we always celebrate Big, gave us some really cute patriotic baking cups and cupcake toppers, so Curran had fun helping me make cupcakes Monday morning, and we enjoyed them before we left that night. I don't have any pictures of them blowing out candles and singing, just eating.

Cakers loved hers too.

Baby Becket was there, too. Her mama has all the cute pictures of her on her camera. And we're looking forward to being back down there for the Fourth when my brother will also join us!
