Easter, etc.

So I wrote this blog last week but am just now getting around to posting it...

Nothing much new to report. I just wanted to post an updated picture of the belly. (This dress will be making a reappearance at the shower we are throwing for Chris and Craig this weekend!!) Christopher took this picture on Easter (is it just me or is it awkward posing for pics by yourself??). We went to Jackson Easter Weekend and left the boys here (John had to work and study for the CPA and Craig was working on their new house). We always go to a family friend's house to eat after church on Easter Sunday, so it was fun catching up with people who I haven't seen in a while. And it was an ego-boost for me, let me tell ya. Everyone was so complimentary..."Oh you look great!...You're all belly!!...So pretty!...blah blah blah." So I get back to work on Monday and get this from one of my friends:

Friend: "Um, Mary Louis?"

Me: "Yeah?"

Friend: "You may not want to button your lab coat anymore."

Me: "Why not?"

Friend: "It, um, makes your butt look a lot bigger."

Me: "Well, just don't look at it then."

I mean, really? So if you see a theme emerging from my posts (my body esteem issues!! ), you see why. I get these types of comments at work all day every day!!

Anyway, on a more exciting note, I finally feel like things are coming together for the baby's room, which makes me feel a little less frantic. Not that we have done one thing in the actual room yet, but I do have a paint color picked out, I picked up her bedding yesterday, bought fabric, and the glider and her crib have been ordered. So now I just need to find time to get it all to come together! Unfortunately our house is utter chaos right now as we are having yard work done, so the dogs are cooped up inside because we have no fence. (The landscaper said there would only be one day we had to keep them inside because of the lack of a fence, but it has now been two weeks). So we came home from dinner last night to find that Cooper (the Golden Retriever) had christened the baby's room with a nice surprise. I guess he was just giving us a foreshadowing of all the poop to come once Baby Curran gets here. I figured I would add a picture of our two oldest, ill-behaved children since I never talk about them anymore...let's face it...they are second fiddle now that we have a human child on the way. Let's just hope we can train the human child a little bit better than we did them!! :)
