Baby John- 11 Months Old!

Our little happy jack turned 11 months old yesterday!! He is a mover and a shaker these days! He has taken his first step, finally! He has taken no more than 2 tiny steps at a time, but I think he will be toddling by his first birthday. We shall see. He stands up and cruises all the time, and you can tell he so badly wants to take off.

His two top teeth popped through this past month, and its two neighbors are right there at the surface. I can see the two side bottom teeth as well but they haven't broken through yet.

You can kind of see a tiny part of his big ol' chomper up top.

He loves to wave and play peekaboo and he claps constantly. He has these animal prints hanging above his crib, and lately he has really taken a liking to them. He waves and smiles so big at them, and we tell each of the animals goodnight when he gets in the bed. He gets the biggest kick out of it, and it is pretty cute! I really think his first word is hey. His second word is Mama. He said it all day long yesterday. Most of the time it is still the mamamama sound repeated, but a few times he just said "Mama." And one time was when I wouldn't let him chew on something he wanted, and he got SO mad and yelled "Mamaaa!!" It was so funny.

We switched him to a big boy car seat, still rear-facing of course, right before we went to Jackson a few weeks ago. He doesn't seem to like it any more than his infant car seat, but he is still content in it most of the time. He's still not sleeping in the car though, even on road trips. He tries, but he just can't get comfortable.

He is still nursing but I swear my supply got so messed up when we were in Disney. :( I'm almost out of frozen milk and I had quit pumping, but now I am starting back to make sure he has enough on the day each week that he is with our sitter. I'm kind of stressed out about it! But he eats a ton of food! Like he gets so furious when I stop giving him food. He loves squeeze pouches so we go through a ton of those. He also loves yogurt, blueberries, bananas, pasta, Cheerios, Puffs, Yogurt Melts, grilled cheeses, quesadillas, any bread really, rice, and beans. I need to work on more veggies- he gets plenty in the squeeze pouches but he isn't crazy about the actual food when I offer it to him.

He continues to be sweet and easy-going most of the time but can get ornery if he isn't getting what he wants. And in the last 24 hours, he has given the girls a bloody nose (SC) and a bloody lip (Curran) with his noggin when they were messing with him when he didn't want them to. They love him to death and can't seem to give him his space!

He can't believe he's 11 months old either!

I am so not ready for my baby to be a toddler, but we are so thankful for this healthy, active boy!
