Curran's 2014 Dance Recital

Curran had her dance recital the last weekend of May. We had the rehearsal that Thursday morning, so I had to take off work. You aren't supposed to take pictures or videos during the actual recital, so these are all from the rehearsal.

On stage!

Prancing offstage afterwards :)

We had a quick outfit change before their tap routine to "Benny, the Magic Bunny."

The hands on the hips kill me!

She specifically requested that I take a picture of her with her props. The girls were oh so proud of these.

Of course all of the grandparents came in town for the recital. Uncle Craig, Sissy, Sinclair, and Becket came, too, as well as our babysitter, Courtnie, and her oldest daughter, Laura Kate. C had quite the fan club!

Our little fam, minus SC who got left at home with a babysitter. I just didn't think she would be able to sit still and quiet for that long. C's performances were #24 and then #34, and we left as soon as she finished her last number, and we were still there for 2.5 hours!

Curran had SO much fun at her recital. I was super nervous just watching her, but she had a smile on her face the ENTIRE time! Even when she was standing backstage waiting for the curtain to open, she was just beaming. As soon as we left, she asked me when she would have another recital. We are switching to another ballet school in the fall {she has done it through a dance studio that comes to her preschool}, and they don't do recitals. They encourage trying out for local performances instead, so hopefully Curran will be okay with that. {Mama sho is! Recitals are $$!} I know she is still super young, but she seems to be in her element in the ballet world, so we will stick with it for as long as she loves it! So proud of my little dancer!
