A few weeks ago, we invited our friends, The Ruzics, to come to the beach with us. It's so hard not living right across the street from them anymore, so we were all super excited about spending a fun weekend together! We left on a Thursday night after work, and Hallett and I took the little kids in my car and the daddies rode with the big kids in Joe's car. Everyone was pretty keyed up. SC fell asleep when we were about 15 minutes away from the beach, and I can't remember if the big kids ever fell asleep. But thankfully they all went to bed fine once we got there.
On Friday morning, we walked down to Seaside for breakfast and a quick trip to the playground.
We headed home when it started to rain, so the kids watched some TV while the grown-ups prayed {and prayed and prayed} that it would not rain all weekend.
The storm ended and we thought we had a short window before another store came, so we threw swim suits on the kids and headed to the beach.
Win loves the beach! I was hoping he would rub off on SC but no such luck.
SC was still hatin' beach life.
The sun ended up coming out, and we were able to enjoy the rest of the day without any more rain.
After naps, we headed back to Seaside for sno-cones.
The (teeny) baby pool was a huge hit for all ages.
These two.
We enjoyed a gorgeous beach day on Saturday.
Clingy McClingerson
Sweet smooches. {And that bandaid is from where she climbed out of her pack n play and landed on her head. Oy. Thankfully she hasn't done it again.}
We headed to an early dinner at 30-A, and beforehand I attempted some pics of the kiddos. My two were not having it.
Hallett got this one on her phone at the restaurant, and I thought it was so sweet!
When we got home from dinner, we took a walk on the beach.
Look at this happy jack!
Sweet, sweet friends.
Some strangers volunteered to take our picture, but we didn't get a really good one {and Lillian was hiding behind her mom}.
We had such a fun weekend, and are so thankful for these dear friendships!
