The Lake

A couple of weekends ago, we were invited to join our friends at their lake house. We were so excited because our girls had never been to the lake and it had been years since John and I had. Our friends' parents recently built their house at Lake Martin, and it was beautiful and so cozy! We had the absolute best time {in spite of the fact that the big girls can fight over just about anything}. 

For some reason Saturday afternoon, the girls changed into their pajamas. They had lots of fun exploring outside.

After the little ones napped, we took the kids to a store called Catherine's that had a playground and natural trail. 

Thankfully John was still on speaking terms with Joe after Tennessee's loss to Auburn.

The girls were SO excited about spending the night together for the first time. They did stall for a while, but overall did really well and were probably asleep within an hour of going down. 

For some reason I didn't end up with any pictures of SC's buddy, Win.

This little turkey {as well as the rest of us} was so sad to leave on Sunday. Curran started sobbing as soon as we pulled into our garage saying that she "missed the lake" and has asked me no less than 100 times when we can go back.

We are so thankful for a wonderful weekend with dear friends!
