We headed to the beach for Labor Day. I most definitely set a record for least amount of pictures taken with my big camera on this trip. I only brought it out on two occasions, so almost all of these are cell phone pics. And sorry some of these pics are Instagram repeats.
We had a great trip! It was super hot but no rain, so that was nice. We hung out around the house mostly and Christopher, Craig, John and I got a night out on Sunday. We actually met up with my coworker and her husband for dinner in Rosemary, which was a lot of fun.
Always great to wake up at the beach!
Friday morning, John and I took the girls on a walk and let them play in Watercolor. It is so pretty down there.
Then we browsed in a few stores in Seaside and got Sinclair a little happy for being brave the night before when she had to go to the ER to get stitches!! {they were about to leave Bham for the beach when Sinclair fell, so they had to go to the ER instead and didn't get to the beach until late Friday afternoon}
{and please notice all the bandaids on C's knee}
watching Mickey
My dad got the girls these personalize spelunker helmets. He was SO tickled with himself and couldn't wait to give them to the girls. They were excited too! {Well, C more than anyone else- of course the littles didn't care :) }
Chris and I got the girls these matching outfits without knowing the other one had picked them out, too, and just now got all 4 of them in them at the same time. Of course, we couldn't get a good picture though.
Christmas card?
That night we walked down to Seaside to hear a symphony. John stayed home with Sallie Cate and Becket. We had so much fun, and Curran loved it! They played some songs from The Sound of Music, so she was thrilled. They also played a medley from Les Mis, so I loved that. Besides the couple making out next to us {ugh!!} it was perfect!
Then we came home to watch fireworks. They didn't get to shoot them at the 4th of July, so they saved them from Labor Day, and it did not disappoint. Can you tell C is tired here? She fell asleep DURING them, and they were loud!
Craig bought these lanterns {a la Tangled :) } months ago, but because of all the rain we just got the chance to let them go. I hated that C missed it, but Sinclair enjoyed them. And we only almost burned down the sea oats a couple of times.
We are going back for a girls' trip in October and I CAN NOT WAIT!!
