Thanksgiving at the Beach

This year was our turn to have Thanksgiving with my side of the family, and my mom decided she wanted to have it at the beach. I think the last time we did that was with my grandparents when we were around 5 years old. I missed being in Jackson, but it was fun to change it up this year. The weather was chilly but beautiful this year. My brother flew in from California, and we loved having some special time with him! The Heys were there too, of course. It might go down as one of my favorite holidays yet!

The girls loved their time with Uncle Walter!

We love sending off lanterns!

The most fun part of Thanksgiving week was that they had a Christmas parade that went right by our house! The girls were so excited!

Couldn't get them to cooperate for a photo though. :)

Santa and Mrs. Claus brought up the rear of the parade, and as soon as they passed by our house, we walked down to Seaside to watch them light the tree.

Then we walked down to Watercolor for their festivities and tree lighting.

Sallie Cate was dancing in the {fake} snow. Notice the leg kicked up behind her. :)

We had such a wonderful long weekend, and I am always thankful when my whole family can be together.

Hopefully it won't take me another three months to blog about Christmas...
