Mother's Day Weekend

We went to the beach for Mother's Day weekend. We were so excited and couldn't wait to get out of town for the weekend. But like most things that get built up, it didn't go exactly as planned. Right after we got there late Thursday night, we had just gotten everything unloaded and were about to put SC in bed when she threw up all over me. So after a bath, she settled down and went to bed. Well, she ran a fever all day Friday but otherwise seemed fine. Friday night, every time I looked at the monitor she was stirring, which is so unlike her. At one point, I went in there to check her temp and it was 102, so I got her up to give her some Tylenol. I was holding her to my chest while I was getting it ready, and she threw up all over both of us again! It was awful! She had fever for the rest of the weekend, although thankfully she never got sick again. It rained off and on both Friday and Saturday, so that kept us cooped up some, which didn't help the situation. We were also supposed to have pictures taken Saturday morning, and I was SO disappointed to have to cancel that. :(

While is wasn't the best weekend we've ever had, we still had fun being together and spending time with my parents. Sunday ended up being really pretty, and while SC was still not herself, she seemed to be feeling a good bit better, so we ended the trip on a good note.

The sun came out for a little while late Friday afternoon, so we headed down to the beach for a bit.

This was my sick little babe on Saturday morning. She seemed to do better as the day went on but had a fever again by that night.

We drove down to an art show in Watercolor on Saturday, but it was raining so we didn't stay long.
