We went to the beach with my fam, per usual. We were a little worried about the weather with Isaac looming, but it ended up being perfect. Well, it was hot and humid as all get out, but no storms. We left Thursday after work and made great time with no stops {quite unlike this time}.
It was pretty low key and we mostly hung around the house. With three little ones, it's too hard to really go anywhere. Christopher, Mom and I did go see the Coastal Living Ultimate Beach House decorated by Erika Powell. It was really neat and we took lots of pictures and jotted notes of what we liked {which was basically everything}.
Here are Christopher and Mom lounging in the theater room.
My Aunt Mary and Uncle Keith were in town as well so we took the girls to swim with our cousins at their condo one day. I don't have any pictures except this one in the car on the way over.
Curran insisted on bringing some of her dress up clothes to the beach.
lounging
The first day we weren't allowed in the water because the currents were so strong, but the next few days were great. There was a huge sand bar with very shallow water perfect for the girls to play in. See those people lounging off in the distance? That's how shallow it was- lots of people had their chairs in the water.
A pic from SC's 5 mo shoot. This was the second time we were down there for her monthly photo shoot {3 month here}
Sinclair was shoveling salt water in her mouth.
Alike much?
collecting shells
My dad gets tickled about how tiny she can make her mouth look. This picture doesn't even really do it justice.
Sinclair has been so sweet to Sallie Cate lately. Just practicing for when her own baby comes along. :)
And she loves her Uncle John! {don't worry about poor ol' SC}
On Monday morning before we left, we took the girls to a splash pad/fountain area in Alys Beach.
C found this paci in my bag and insisted on using it. I told her she could keep it but we would have to treat her like a baby, so no goldfish, no juice, and we would carry her everywhere. She ditched it pretty quickly. :)
This kid has no fear.
C didn't want to get wet at first and just had fun running around.
But she eventually got in and had fun.
We weren't back in Birmingham for long before we headed off to our next adventure. Coming soon {I hope}...
